The Minot State Sustainability Committee hosted a tree planting ceremony on Oct. 6 in honor of the 50th, the anniversary of Earth Day. The tree was planted between Cyril Moore and Swain Hall. The event was postponed last spring due to coronavirus precautions. During the ceremony, Mya Temanson, an English major, and Robert Kibler, Minot State English faculty, read poems about trees including “When I Among the Trees” by Mary Oliver and “Song of the Trees” by Mary Colborn-Veel. Anna Dykeman of Lutheran Campus Ministries gave a blessing.
