Multicultural holiday celebration continues at Minot State University

The annual religious celebrations exhibit is available once again at the Minot State University’s Multicultural Center located on first floor of Student Center. This is the sixth year the exhibit has been presented.

The exhibit features different religious traditions from around the world such as: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

“Wouldn’t this be a really great support for the international students if we could recognize the important holidays for them as well?” Libby Claerbout, Director of the International Programs, said.

She added that the idea of the religious exhibit started from a Fulbright Scholar from Tunisia. From that point onward, it became an annual exhibit for the Multicultural Center.

“I feel like it’s met with a lot of enthusiasm and students are excited to see a piece that is important to them, and being represented in a beautiful way,” Claerbout said.

Explore the different religious celebrations through the interactive exhibit as it includes items related to each holiday. Music videos of holiday songs from different cultures are also played on the Multicultural Center television.

The exhibit will be available until Dec. 14 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
