SGA committee addresses student parking concerns

In response to students’ concerns about the new parking arrangement on campus, Minot State University Student Government Association agreed to the formation of a committee, which will consist of on-campus and off-campus students, to allow their voices to be heard on this topic. SGA formed the committee following the first SGA meeting of the semester earlier this month.

The current parking policy was the result of a two-year study, along with conversations between the student government and university administration.

“We are proud of taking action in simplifying our parking policies; however, it is incumbent upon us to evaluate the effectiveness of such policies which impact all campus community members,” Aaron Richard, SGA president, said. “Therefore, I have asked the Student Government to form a committee to work with the staff senate, faculty senate, and administration to assess the effectiveness of the new parking policy.”
